The High-Atlas

Tessaout valley

Hiking in the Atlas
This area offers an extraordinary variety of landscapes : green valleys, terrace cultivations, many villages hang on side of mountains in the traditional architectural style, without forgetting 2 summits at more than 4000 meters altitude which are completely accessible to walkers
- The M’Goun in the Central High-Atlas with its 4071 m
- The Toubkal in the Western High-Atlas, with its 4167 m is the highest summit of North Africa
My proposals :
Several hikes to reach these summits by crossing typical villages and to meet the Berbers.
- Hiking in the massif of M’Goun : 1 to 2 weeks
- Hiking in the massif of Toubkal : 1 to 2 weeks
- Big crossing of the Atlas : 3 weeks
The most convenient period : may to september
